Thirty-three years ago, Minor Hairfield founded Minor’s Fences in Ashland, Virginia, with a $2,000 loan from his father. Through exceptional craftsmanship, grit, honesty, and reliability, he built one of the most recognized and respected fencing companies in the industry. As the business grew, so did his vision. While passionate about building high-quality fences, he knew he no longer wanted to handle the administrative side of the business. To drive innovation, modernization, and expansion—while allowing him to focus on his true expertise—Minor made the pivotal decision to form a new partnership. Now stepping into the role of General Manager, he remains at the helm of fence operations, ensuring the same craftsmanship and quality that have defined the company for decades.

Joining him as Owner and CEO is Mindy Angel, who grew up on a working farm in Dinwiddie County, instilling in her a strong work ethic and deep appreciation for hands-on craftsmanship. With 34+ years of expertise in business operations, technology, sales, and marketing, she is now leading Minor’s Fences into its next chapter. Throughout her career, she has been a trusted advisor, known for listening to her customers, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions that exceed expectations. A passionate community advocate, she actively supports nonprofits, charities, and advocacy organizations. Highly regarded in her industry and community, she has built a reputation for leading teams, over-delivering and driving success.
